Official Rules

Last updated October 21, 2026

Short version: Meebterms Lotería is a community reward for Meebits holders and Nightshades NFT holders. It is not a public sweepstakes. Eligible holders mint a tabla for free. There are 256 tablas, one for every way eight 2026 midterm races can go between the Republican and Democratic parties. Tablas can be traded. After all eight results are certified, MeebCo takes a snapshot, and the wallet holding the tabla that matches all eight wins a Meebit. The rest of this page is the detail behind that, and the detail is what counts.

1. What this is

Meebterms Lotería (the "Reward") is a community reward run by The Meebit Company, New York, NY ("MeebCo", "we") for Meebits holders and Nightshades NFT holders. It is not a public sweepstakes, contest or lottery, and it is not open to the general public. By minting, holding or transferring a tabla, you agree to these rules.

The Reward is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any candidate, campaign, political party, election official, news organization or OpenSea. MeebCo does not support or oppose any candidate or party through the Reward.

7. How a race is called

Election night projections, media race calls, concessions and social media posts do not decide anything in the Reward. They are fun to follow. They don't count.

  1. Certified result. The winner of a race is the candidate declared elected in that state's official certified result for the November 3, 2026 general election, as issued by the state's certifying authority.
  2. Party. "Republican Party wins" means the winner appeared on that state's official general election ballot as the Republican Party's nominee. "Democratic Party wins" means the winner appeared on that ballot as the Democratic Party's nominee. A candidate's caucus, endorsements, past party membership or later party switch don't change this.
  3. Neither party. If a race is won by a candidate who was not the Republican or Democratic nominee on the ballot (for example an independent or a third party candidate), no tabla can match that race and the Meebit is not awarded.
  4. Maine. Maine elects its U.S. Senator by ranked choice voting. The winner is the candidate certified after the final round of tabulation.
  5. Recounts. If a race goes to a recount, we wait for the certified result after the recount.
  6. Late certification. MeebCo aims to finish by the target date in Section 6. If a race is still uncertified then, we wait for its certified result.
  7. Final once announced. Once MeebCo announces the eight results and the winning tabla, the result is final. Later court rulings, recounts, resignations or changes in office don't change it.
